Right now the way it works is that level 5 users can see all posts 
that are level 5 and below.  But I understand that you want something 
different, which would be useful to me as well.  I hope that the 
plugin author can consider something like this in the future.

I wonder if there is a plugin that will restrict viewing of posts in 
certain categories to certain users?  That would be more in line with 
what you need.  For my needs, it would have to work for pages too, 
which currently do not have a category.  So maybe it would be better 
to have a separate "view-cat" for each post/page that would determine 
who can see it.
