Hi,

To eliminate the author from an Event post, you need to modify your themes
single.php file. Look for the post_meta div and add the if cat_name
statement around the author information like I did. You can see it in action
on www.sustainabledelco.org.

jim

             <div class="post_meta">
<?php if ($cat->cat_name <> "Events") : ?>
              By <?php the_author_posts_link(); ?> <span
class="dot">&sdot;</span> <?php the_time('F j, Y'); ?> <span
class="dot">&sdot;</span> <?php if(function_exists('wp_email')) { ?> <?php
email_link(); ?> <span class="dot">&sdot;</span> <?php } ?> <?php endif; ?>
<?php if(function_exists('wp_print')) { ?> <?php print_link(); ?> <span
class="dot">&sdot;</span> <?php } ?> <a href="#comments">Post a comment</a>
             </div>
