[EventCalendar] OK got it working now

thanks for the url to patch files for EC3.1

EC3 works ok now.

I downloaded from this URL and put these files in EC3.1 folder that  
replaced the existing files already there that did not have the  
updated snippets of fix-code.

I must have entered the snippet incorrectly previously when I typed it  
in. Just having the files with correct code replace the files in the  
folder was a more complete solution this side of revving.
