[EventCalendar] Big Calendar help, please?

Hi, just today I installed Big Calendar for my mom's library's website  
and it's perfect.  The only problem I've run into is that my event  
posts are now showing as regular posts, even though I have the options  
set to keep them separate.  Can someone please advise me?
