[EventCalendar] when events "hidden," search breaks

Good afternoon.
First, I'm thrilled to have found this plugin. Thank you. It appears that
it will work really well for my church's new web site, which I'm building
in WordPress (test site: http://www.stmartinschurch.org/blog).
My question: When I set the EventCalendar option to "keep events
separate," it breaks the WordPress search on the site. The search won't
find anything on the site at all. When the option is set to "events are
normal posts," the search works fine.
I am running WP 2.3.3 and EventCalendar 3.1.0 (I didn't try the
Beta...should I?). It may be helpful to know that I'm also running the
plugin "Search Everything"
(http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search-everything/#post-269), which
searches pages as well as posts.
However, when trying to isolate the problem, I deactivated that plugin and
tried the WordPress site search with the "keep events separate" option
on...and, alas, the search didn't work.
A workaround seems to be to pre-date the blog entries for my event posts,
which renders them relatively invisible on the site, although they appear
in the calendar fine.
I would be grateful if there is a solution to this. If that has already
been addressed and I failed to find it in my searches, I apologize. I
would be grateful to be pointed in the right direction for that solution.
Best regards,
Kurt
