[EventCalendar] SLOW QUERIES caused by EC3

Lastly, I hope that someone hears me, and may have experienced a similar
problem as well.
One of my ideas was to re-configure the plugin to use the "Plugin Output
Cache" to prevent constant access to EC3, hoping it'd reduce or eliminate
the SLOW queries. I'm not sure how I'd do that.
Alternatively, is there any way to re-configure the plugin to just query the
database for date/time, etc ONCE per day? Say 5:30am? Most of my future
events are all-day events, and don't need it to constantly query the DB.
once a day is fine. then I can have the output cached or something..
I'm sure other people have been "at wits end" as well, and can relate to how
frustrating it is when you cannot find an answer somewhere..
Sigh.
