[EventCalendar] The future of this plugin...

It has been a long while since any new updates for EC3 have come
out... is this plugin dead in the water? What does the future hold?
And perhaps we should be asking--is there another event calendar for
WP with a more active development cycle?

I sincerely appreciate all the work that has gone into developing this
plugin but wonder if it isn't time to move on...
