[EventCalendar] event calendar compatible with MySQL version 5.0?

Hi there, I am having major difficulties getting the event calendar to work
with my sql version 5.0.

Is it compatible?  If so can you send me any tips on how to get it to work?
Right now the calendar is not using the css to format it and it shows ALL
blog posts on the calendar although it's set up to only show events on the
calendar.  The site I'm referring to is: www.coachingcommons.org.
