[EventCalendar] get_the_time_of_the_event_please()

Hello there,
EventCalendar seems to be a really useful plugin; however I'm a bit  
stuck and couldn't find anything on the website about this:

I'm working on a project centered on events.
I would need the equivalent of the inner wp's get_the_time().
The idea here is to grab the time of the event and use it as a  
parameter - not the timestamp of the post itself.
It would be nice to have a more delicate relative time (today,  
tomorrow, etc.)
Could anyone shed some light on this? What would you reckon?
