[EventCalendar] bizarre problem - probably java script related

I installed EventsCalendar on my WordPress blog but I'm having a hard time  
getting it to work:

When you click on it from the index, category or single page view it takes  
you to a 404 page. But if you open an event directly, the calendar works  
as it is supposed to.

examples:

(working)

I'm guessing this has to do with the window.onload event call but I am  
hesitant to start turning things off as the blog gets a lot of hits and  
things can get really screwed up.
