[EventCalendar] Event is showing up on incorrect date in calendar

I've installed Event Calendar 3.1.1.rc3 with the following options:

Show events as blog entries: Keep Events Separate
Timezone: WordPress
Show all categories in calendar: Only Show Events

Here's my problem: say on Feb 5, I create a new event that is supposed
to take place Feb 20. The calendar, however, shows a link to the event
on Feb 5 instead of Feb 20. I have made sure that I did indeed choose
Feb 20 under "Event Editor" when I created the post.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
