[EventCalendar] EC3 links different in calendar / event list

I've looked at all of what I thought might be related posts to this
question but still haven't found a solution.  My problem is that links
shown in the EC3 calendar are different than the links shown in the
event list.  The calendar links end up redirecting to the home page
while the event list links go to the event detail page.  Additionally,
only events occurring in the present month are displayed in the
calendar.

The event list links have the following format:
http://www.domain.com/2008/04/18/event_title/

The calendar links are in this format:
http://www.domain.com/?m=20080418&cat=4


My current configuration is:
Wordpress 2.2.2
Event Calendar 3.1.0
PHP 4.4.x
MySQL 5.0.16

Any help would be most appreciated.
