[EventCalendar] For BGR

This is Cris here.

I uploaded ec3.diff to the eventcalendar3 directory.  I have shell 
access, so I went in to the eventcalendar3 directory and typed patch 
ec3.diff, but it just hanged.

I checked that patch is indeed in the /bin/user directory.

I just need the proper syntax.

I am not at all strong on Unix and code.

I am also not that great a manual editor.  I did edit both the 
eventcategort3.php and the ec3.js files.  Same behavior.  Events don't 
display in manage posts when "keep events separate" is selected.  Most 
of my enties don't work from the calendar widget.  List events and iCal 
remote calendar work fine.

If there is a way to run the patch, I'd rather put the original files 
back and run the patch.

Am I missing defining the locations of the original files?  Everything 
is in the same directory.
