peter,

the fix you sent makes the calendar appear with the correct times in
google calendar, when saved and uploaded as a file.

it also makes the calendar appear 100% correctly in 30boxes when
loaded as a URL.

i still cannot do the following:
remote link into sunbird (utf8 problem)
url link into google calendar (parsing problem)
