[EventCalendar] Option to Show Selected Events as Normal Blog Entries

Hopefully this pushes this thread back up from last month. Can anyone point
to instructions for the patch that will cause an event with an additional
category to be displayed as a normal post and in the event calendar. This
is a great capability (and hopefully goes main line at some point in the
future).

Maybe a dumb question, but how exactly are you supposed to apply this patch?
