[EventCalendar] Listing multi-day events each day

right now, events that span multiple days, don't appear daily in my  
"upcoming events" list.  My specific need is this:

There is a doctor who will be out of the office each day from  
Thursday, Spetember 13th to Sunday September 16th.  I have to make a  
separate event for each day in order for the events to appear each day  
in the "upcoming events" bar in my side menu.  Otherwise, the event  
appears only on the first day.
