Okay, here's the patch against 271. It should include all changes,  
including yours and mine.

It implements alternating classes for events within a day, allowing  
you to use CSS to apply borders and backgrounds.

Use p.ec3_alt_class_0 and p.ec3_alt_class_1 to implement the CSS. The  
first is always 0.

I edited the patch file to remove the local references (TextMate  
doesn't seem to have an option to remove these).
