[EventCalendar] Date issues

Hi there,

 

Just wondering if there is a work around for a problem we are having.  

Currently the event is posted on a certain date (which is fine) and an event
date is set.  

Once the event is pas its date however, we like to keep the events up as
often results for the events are posted in them.  For the archive of these
dates though, they all show up as the date that they were posted and not on
the event date that we set.  Is there a way to show them purely as the event
date that it was set for?
