[EventCalendar] removing the date in upcoming events widget

I'm using Event Calendar 3.1.0 and am wondering how to remove the  
date from the Upcoming Events widget listing. it currently shows as  
(http://clubmuse.com):

Upcoming Events

     * 8 June:
           o Friday, June 8 2007
             The Return of Muse to the Boardner's Patio (10:00 pm)

I find it redundant to have the "8 June" and "Friday, June 8 2007"  
output, so I'd like to get rid of the second altogether. The FAQ  
explained a similar situation in the "Q. How do I set the date or  
time format?" post, though I'm pretty sure that applies to the  
postings themselves. Any guidance is greatly appreciated.
