This sounds like a fun project - and I probably won't be of much help...but
I'll ask this question -

Have you tried a "special event" category of posts, and then use a WordPress
function to sort out only posts in the "special event" category?

Subject: [EventCalendar] Event Calendar Do not Show events

Hi All

I have the event calendar running on
www.pontrhydyrunbaptistchurch.co.uk to list all upcoming events in
the sidebar.

At present the events also show on the front page of the site which
shows the latest news, events and other notices.

However sometimes I have recurring events, such as youth meetings,
womens meetings (typed in manually) that I would ONLY like to show in
the sidebar as these events wont have hardly any information.

Is there some way that it would be possible to use the option "Do not
show events in posts" part of the plugin to disable all events
showing on the front page but then specify a second category to that
post (such as a special event) so that event and all the post
information can be seen n the front page.

If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

Richard
