[EventCalendar] Future Events

Hi,
Using WP 2.1.2 and eventcalendar 311rc1 (build 257).

Future Events _do_  show in the calendar, (whether signed in or not), 
but they  _don't_ show in the "Upcoming Events" list.
Also hover over a future event day in the calendar shows the tooltip, 
but clicking he day does not show the event.

This seems inconsistent and confusing for users. Is this an intentional 
"feature" or a bug issue with WP 2.1?
Is there a way to change it?
