[EventCalendar] My Category Issue with EC3.1.1.rc1 (clearer)

I would suggest that your best bet is to go back to old events and  
change them to a different category (like, "previous gigs").  That  
way, you don't need to retype them, and you don't need them managed  
by the event manager anymore.  It is an extra step, but I think it  
makes sense for you.
