[EventCalendar] Event showing in excerpt

Hi,

Another problem, details of the events are showing in the loop using 
the_excerpt(), even though 'Show schedule within posts:' is set to 'Hide 
Schedule'. The format is defaulting to something like this '[ July 19, 
2007; 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. ]' and I can't see anyway to control this.

Any ideas how to switch this off?
