[EventCalendar] big calendar problem

after installing patch5 of big calendar, a couple of problems surfaced:

my event posts now appear on my blog page, even though i have 
selected 'keep separate'.

the other thing is the pop-ups used to show multiple events on 
separate lines within a constant width window. now they show on one 
long line ending in ... when the line is too long.

any thoughts on this?
