[EventCalendar] big calendar error

i replaced my eventcalendar3 folder with the one in patch 5 and i got 
the following error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '&', expecting T_VARIABLE or 
'$' in 
/home/site/public_html/folder/wp-content/plugins/eventcalendar3/eventcalendar3.php 
on line 353

when i tried to open the URL.

i'm using WP 2.3.1 and EC 3.1.1._rc3
