[EventCalendar] Creating events outside of posts

Hayden,
Thanks so much for your reply. If I do what you suggest, though, any  
posts that I write that include events don't show up on my front  
page, correct? I want to be able to both create events that come up  
in my (front page) blog posts and also to be able to just write in  
events with no post.  Is this possible? It looked like wp-ical might   
let you stream events from outside cals. I guess that's what I'm  
thinking.
