[EventCalendar] Hide event Post Date

Hi all, I was wondering if there is an easy way to set up the event calendar so that all events and posts show on the calendar, but also so that the post date doesn’t show on the calendar, for example, I if created a post today for some event happening on august 30th, on my calendar it highlights both today and it highlights august 30th.  I think this is confusing to readers. Currently I just have it set so that only events are showing, but I would like the posts to show on the calendar too. I saw in the archives a few posts dealing with this, but I am not a programmer and I don’t know how to implement the code that was posted . . . I would need some really clear instructions and then I could modify the code myself (I do know enough to do that ;-) so if there is anyone out there who has done this or knows how it could be done please help!
