[EventCalendar] Option to Show Selected Events as Normal Blog
Entries Too?

hello all,
I'm using WP 2.0.11 (basically due to my hosting stubbornly sticking
to old PHP!) and EC 3.1.0
My blog is a webzine on the Southeast Asian punk/indie music and
culture, and I use EC to have a special calendar for events and gigs.
go here to check it:

As you can see, everything works very well and I'm very thankful for
the plugin. It is an amazing lifesaver!
Anyway, I do have a wish though, and I wonder if anyone can help me
with this predicament I'm facing.
WISH:
I want an option (maybe a button) to select a few "events" posts and
highlight them as normal blog entries (but yet still appear as
"events").
PROBLEM:
Currently I select the "Show events as blog entries: KEEP EVENTS
SEPARATE" (on the Options > EventCalendar page and that serves it
well, keeping the "events" listed on the side bar and on a special
page WITHOUT appearing as normal entries or posts on the front page.
Very cool indeed.
BUT, there are a few events which I would like to highlight on the
front page as normal posts, as they merit more visibility or
highlighting. i want these special events to stand out from the
others which are immediately confined to the sidebar listing.
How can I achieve that?
I wish there's a special "button" on the "Write Post" page to make
the post appear both as a normal post and also as an "event" post.
I've tried tagging the posts with two categories, as "events" and
"news" but it still would be hidden and confined to "events"
anyone has a suggestion?
Thanks in advance,
cheers,
JK
