[EventCalendar] Multilingual blog - ec3 doesn't work as expected (shows all languages)

I am using EventCalendar3 in my trilingual Wordpress blog. The Gengo plugin
lets me choose a language, so that only messages in the chosen language are
visible. This works automatically and very well in the posts page and
archives and everywhere, but somehow EC3 seems to be incompatible. What part
of EC3 should I edit, to make it work with Gengo?
