[EventCalendar] Using ec3 with Polyglot

Hello-

I've been searching unsuccessfully for about a month on how to alter  
the Upcoming Events widget so that it processes the titles and lead  
text for posts in partnership with Polyglot. I've tried a couple  
things myself to no avail, so I'm asking here for help in hopes to  
find a expert (which I am not).

The polyglot plugin is located here: http://fredfred.net/skriker/

The default widget Recent Posts displays things properly (the correct  
title and text snippet based on the language selected for the blog)  
but it's coming out improperly when run through the Upcoming widget.

Solo woo found a way to make polyglot and Breadcrumb Navigation XT  
(http://sw-guide.de/wordpress/plugins/breadcrumb-nav-xt/ ) play nice  
as seen here: http://www.solowoo.com/?p=178 but I wasn't able to get  
anything from that, either.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be very grateful.

I'm able to sort through php and get the gist of what's going on, but  
I'm not able to code yet on my own. Technical explanations I will  
likely be fine with, but I'll need some code to cut and paste in the  
end for a solution (or indication where to add something very specific).
