[EventCalendar] Adding the year to the upcoming events widget

I just want to make one edit to add the Year to the Upcoming Events 
widget.  Currently it displays as:

Upcoming Events
 >> *23 October*:
       New Cooking Class

I'd like it to read:

Upcoming Events
 >> *October 23, 2008*
      New Cooking Class

Any ideas on how to do this specifically? I've looked through all the 
pages, but can't figure this one out.
