[EventCalendar] Newbie Install on WP 2

The latest 3.1 branch will work with WordPress and K2. In fact,  
included in the last release you'll find a K2 sidebar module.

a) Yes
b) Yes
c) Recurring events is the works, but not yet implemented.
d) Not showing in the sidebar is not an option at this time, but the  
question has been raised about controlling events on a per post  
level. I'm not sure where that will lead.
