Yesterday I set myself up with Tracks (http://www.rousette.org.uk/
projects/) and noted that their date input pops a graphical calendar
that returns the results to the field. It was pretty cool. Anyway,
after some poking around I found that Tracks was using jscalendar 1.0.

So I fiddled around for a few minutes and came up with appears to be
a working calendar that returns the selected date. Formats can be
modified and the css for the calendar can be messed with...

This would likely shorten the width of the interface. One main point
to keep in mind with regard to the current version of the editor is
that it doesn't break when JavaScript is not enabled. If jscalendar
is adopted, we might want to keep the old way around as a fall back
position if JS is not on...never detected it before, but can a script
determine if it's enabled or not?

Further musings, Alex?
