Alex,
How I fixed the problem -- I used the patch that you gave us here: http://penguin.firetree.net/pipermail/eventcalendar/2006-January/000179.html
It worked like a charm. Although, the wierd thing is that the problem occurred suddenly -- I had no problems with this plugin until a few days ago (and I had been using it for many months). And I have no idea what brought it on -- I don't think I made any significant changes before it happened. Oh well -- it's fixed now.
And upgrading to a backup is a great idea -- I'll try it and let you know how it works!
