I'm guessing that the error always occurs (when you load the page).
Do you get more errors when you try to click on the "Add Event" button?
Does your event category checkbox grey out, or can you still check
and uncheck it?

I don't think it's another plug-in. But I suppose it's worth trying
to turn them off, to see if it makes a difference.
My best guess is that you have mis-set your WordPress 'siteurl' on
the options screen (I think the label is "blog address"). You ought
to be able to append "wp-content/plugins/eventcalendar3/TODO.txt" to
it, and see the TO-DO list.
What's the URL of your site? I might be able to help you more if I
could see it.
