[EventCalendar] Excluding categories in listing

Alex,

Is there a way to get a list of upcoming events that are also listed in
another category and only those listed in that category?

ie: I have two divisions of our band and want people interested in division
one to get a list of upcoming events only in that division whereas right now
the list shows both divisions together. Currently I list the event in
"upcoming events" and either "band 1" or "band 2" as applicable. "Band 1" is
category 3 and doing a listing of just category 3 gives me past and future
events. I just want to list future events only in specific categories.

I'm not too familiar with php although I've managed to fake my way through
using it on 3 separate websites now. Wordpress is pretty easy and there is a
lot of help available to get it working.
