[EventCalendar] how to display past events on the events category page

I would like to display the past events on the events category page.  
Right now it displays the upcoming events but then they drop off  
after the date passes. I want to add a header at the top that says  
"Upcoming Events" and then another header after they are all listed  
that says "Past Events."  This I can do, obviously, but I'm stumped  
as to how to get the past events to show up.
