[EventCalendar] Calendar on page question

I have a question about getting the calendar to show up on a page.

I have installed the last plugin and was finally able to get it to add
events.
I created a page template that has the ec3_get_calendar(); .  And this is
what I get:

How do I get a nice calendar page like writing solon?
