Would you like to contribute your changes? There are some phrases
missing from the current Dutch translation.

I have no idea. That command is exactly the one I use, as you can see
from eventcalendar3/Makefile. Perhaps you are changing the ownership or
permissions of the .mo file?

What version of gettext are you using? Mine says...

 % msgfmt --version
 msgfmt (GNU gettext-tools) 0.15
 Copyright (C) 1995-1998, 2000-2006 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
