[EventCalendar] Problems after update to 3.1.0

Dear Event Calendar developers,

We have just upgraded to 3.1 from a recent RC of 3.1 (I think it was r14).
Now it is not possible to add new events because the "Event Editor" doesn't
seem to add the fields correctly to the database. Allthough it shows events
added previously, but not new ones. We only have one event stored in the
previous database so we tried to remove the plugin and activate it again but
same problem. Could it be that the database is incorrectly updated? Will it
help to delete the eventcalendar tables (and what are those).

Appreciate any help...
